HYBRID ZOOM LIDAR
The core philosophy of the hybrid zoom LiDAR system is to push both hardware performance and internal space utilization to the absolute limitโwith zero waste and zero compromise. We concentrate all available energy into a 4ยฐ laser point, enabling scanning distances of up to 50 meters. Building on this, optical zoom technology transforms the 4ยฐ point into a 16ยฐ laser line, striking an ideal balance between visual coverage and scanning depth. For close-range scenarios, a 28ยฐ laser plane provides a much wider scanning angle, effectively covering areas like the face, hands, and upper bodyโenabling smoother and more comprehensive subject tracking at short distances.

4ยฐ Point Focusing โ Precision in a Class of Its Own
In Hybrid Mode, both the short-range and long-range LiDAR modules work together: When the subject is within 5 meters, the system prioritizes data from the short-range LiDAR for precise measurement. Once the subject moves beyond that range, the long-range LiDAR seamlessly takes overโmaintaining stable and accurate autofocus across varying distances.
Narrow-area focusing mode refers to using only the long-range zoom LiDAR for distance measurement and autofocus.
Its core feature is: regardless of whether the target is near or far, and even if there are multiple nearby objects in the scene, as long as the 4ยฐ measuring point is aimed at the desired focus target, directional and precise focusing can be achieved.
(For example, when the motorized LiDAR is installed directly below the lens, the measuring point is usually located slightly below the center of the frame.)
This mode can effectively avoid focus shifting caused by multi-object interference, making it particularly suitable for shooting small objects or scenes requiring high-precision focusing.
If mobile shooting is needed, the LiDAR can be switched to 16ยฐ to obtain a wider autofocus coverage area.

When MOTOR SMART is powered via USB-C and the battery level remains above 95%, the system will automatically enter Double Power mode. In this mode, the LiDAR distance measuring refresh rate can reach up to 960Hz, and the motorโs instantaneous peak torque can reach 1.2Nm, ensuring that as long as the LiDAR detects a target, the system can achieve frame-by-frame focusing, with every frame clearly visible. (As long as USB-C power is connected, Double Power mode can be maintained for a long time. This mode requires the motor to be set to the fast focusing level.)

By connecting the control wheel, you can set autofocus logic within the short-range LiDAR scanning rangeโeither foreground focus lock or background focus lock. (This feature is only supported when using the short-range LiDAR.)
When the controller is rotated to the nearest focus position and held, the motor enters foreground focus lock mode.
When the controller is rotated to the farthest (infinity) focus position and held, the motor enters background focus lock mode.
You can install the LiDAR motor in any position beside the lens, adjust the angle, and use its distance measurement function independently.
Then connect it via Bluetooth to a previous-generation LiDAR motor or a standard Bluetooth motor to drive autofocus.
